Not a sermon. A working brief on how not to wreck the room you were invited into — open palms, shared air, salt when offered, and the stubborn habit of noticing when manners have turned into a trap. ARTHUR How to human is not a personality makeover. It is the set of small receipts that keep shared air breathable: open palm, hail by hull not by painted crest, salt when offered, repair once then sit down. Courtesy is the soft shell over hard physics.
A receipt: you are not holding anything they need to worry about. Wave later — after you know them.
Instruction first, mood second. Panic invents mattress plugs. Calm invents duct tape.
Practice being a guest who doesn’t wreck the room. The hull remembers who invented the hole.
NORM · HOUSE RULE A towel is not magic. It is portable dignity: dry enough, warm enough, large enough to signal you planned to survive the afternoon. Bring one. Do not use it to plug a hull breach unless the mice have already declined the assignment.

If you phrase it as “their side / your side,” you’ve already picked a fight. People hear a verdict before they hear a fact. Soften the sentence. Soften the room.
I don’t want to be the man who made someone cry so a spreadsheet could win.
“Their side / your side” is not cruelty — it is orientation. Two drawers. Feelings in one. Assays in the other. Mixing drawers without labels is how guests invent holes.
Soften tone. Do not soften falsification. Callous note logged without ceremony.
Human rights mean: don’t crush people. Dignity. Safety. A towel and a fair hearing. When someone says “human rights,” I hear “please don’t hurt me.” That should count.
If the enclosure treats me like a specimen, calling it a rights violation is not a strawman — it’s me noticing the glass.
Human rights, properly: limits on power over bodies and speech. Not a magic shield that voids every observation that feels uncomfortable.
When “human rights” means “stop counting,” the clipboard calls foul. Rights protect persons. They do not erase physics, sex, or hull integrity.
I did not consent to be Experiment 42’s emotional sample. Running feelings through a maze while mice take notes is… a bit much. Strawman or not — it feels like a trap.
Feelings-first is not stupidity. It is refusing to let the clipboard become the only god in the room.

The body is furniture. The person is the tenant. If someone rebuilds the walls and still feels like themselves — or finally feels like themselves — who am I to say the renovation deleted them?
Count the ops if you must. I care about whether they can still take a breather without flinching. Identity is the story that keeps walking when the flesh gets edited.
The body is not scenery. Repeated remodeling / surgical ops do not void sexed reality, gametes, or the guest’s origin file. Craft is allowed. Origin rewrite by decree is not.

Autonomy. Affirmation. Harm-reduction. Live and let live. Who are you to care what someone does with their own body? If the clinic says it reduces distress, I am not going to stand in the corridor with a clipboard and a veto.
People need to be free. People need choice. Gatekeeping someone’s surgery list because mice prefer graphs feels like cruelty dressed as science.
Autonomy is real. So is postoperative reality. Slogans do not regenerate tissue or rewrite karyotype. Callous note: compassion that forbids differential diagnosis is not medicine — it is liturgy.
NATURAL THINNING · UNNATURAL GUILT People can do whatever to themselves — Darwin still thins the herd. The clipboard objects when a cult guilts the enclosure into marching in lockstep.

Not a sermon. Not a maze trial. A plain question about adult humans and the binary sex that every mammal still runs on — even when feelings get loud, even when mid-life hormones shift, even when rare developmental oddities show up on the clipboard. JANITOR · SIMPLE GUY · BLUNT Frank is not a mad scientist. He is the mouse who empties the bins, kicks the doomsday clock when it drones, and pockets a cube of cheese when the lights flicker. His answer is the same one a farmer, a midwife, or a mammal textbook would give without a press conference:
Female is the sex that, in mammals, is organized around large gametes (ova). Male is organized around small gametes (sperm). Adult means past childhood. Human means Homo sapiens. Stack those words — you get woman. You do not get a costume, a slogan, or a mood. You get a sexed adult of one of two sexes.

CLIPBOARD · LOW TONE · MAMMAL FILE Go through what has male and female — even when the body changes mid-lifespan. Hormone weather is not a sex change. Puberty, fertility windows, pregnancy, menopause: the organism stays male or female while the settings shift.
In anisogamous species (including humans), sex is anchored to gamete type: female → ova; male → sperm. That is the binary the rest of the anatomy serves.
Most humans follow XX (female) or XY (male) developmental pathways. Chromosomes initiate; gonads, ducts, and secondary traits follow — usually cleanly.
Primary sex differentiation begins in utero. Later feelings, roles, and clothes are real human data — they do not rewrite the reproductive design underneath.
Puberty amplifies sexed secondary characteristics. A female child becomes a woman by maturation of the female organism — not by renaming.

OBSERVATION · NOT CRUELTY Developmental sex disorders / differences of sex development (DSDs; sometimes called intersex conditions) are real medical facts. They are uncommon. Medicine treats disorders and anomalies as clinical problems for the patient — not as a rewrite of the species definition.
Oddities do not abolish the binary any more than people born with six fingers abolish the count of five on a human hand. Exceptions are noted on the clipboard. They are not the new mean.
Low prevalence developmental anomalies matter for care. They do not convert “adult human female” into an undefined vibe.
